It doesn't matter what you believe or refuse to... we have a shortage of Doctors, Americans are pretty bad at Math and Science, the two building blocks for Med. School...

Both of those professions are becoming oversaturated due to an uptick in degree mills that will take anyone with a pulse. 10+ years ago, the ROI was much better for mid-level providers when the market for them wasn’t saturated.

Nowadays, there’s an extreme influx of NP/PA new grads who have no skills and are accepting whatever hospitals will offer them. The starting salaries are so low for new grad NPs/PAs that it’s super common for experienced RNs to be making more than them. We’re talking starting salaries as low as $85,000-$90,000. It’s absolutely pathetic and is destroying the mid-level professions.

CRNA is probably the only mid-level profession that’s worth the effort. But the cat has been let out of the bag and now every nurse wants to become one.

Damn near every public university in the US has a grad entry NP program that will take anyone who meets the GPA minimum and prerequisite requirements. They aren’t hard to get into at all and that’s the problem.

If there weren't foreigners to take doctor positions in shitty little towns across the country, a lot of those shitty little towns would not have enough doctors after their current ones retire.

By all means blather about "No H1B's" without any thought though.

That isn’t the problem. The real problem is the overflow of F-1 visas who are taking up slots at dental schools and medical schools across the US.

Mine too. I’m glad people are opening their eyes to how bad of a weak spot it is. Our culture and heritage is being erased by our own brethren, and that’s truly sad.
