Dems have painted themselves into a corner- they HAVE TO get some kind of “win” and it looks like Senate Republicans will give them something — didn’t someone predict this end Wednesday?
Looks like that might happen…

Washington — The contours of a potential deal to reopen the government began to emerge on Tuesday as the shutdown was poised to become the longest in history, with senators discussing an agreement that would fund the government alongside long-term appropriations bills in exchange for a vote on extending health insurance tax credits that Democrats have demanded.
A bipartisan group of senators has been engaged in conversations in recent days as lawmakers search for an off-ramp in the shutdown fight. Senate Majority Leader John Thune told reporters Tuesday morning that he's hopeful the bipartisan group is close to a solution, while acknowledging the "cross-pressures that everybody's feeling" are "great."

Republicans need to pass a new CR that has more cuts. No more blank slate for the commies to vote for. Let them vote for cuts or keep it shut

This generally means the American people are about to get fricked.

Republicans better not give one fricking inch. This is ALREADY Biden’s CR, it’s already absurd.
We’ve all been taken to the woodshed.
This timeline was known for months now, and all of these frickers are grabbing lunch together while selling us out. We are their piggy bank.

I think we should end the 60 votes rule and just start passing single issue bills so congress is forced to show their cards on what they are actually supporting rather than highlights parts they want for political talking points.

Ending the 60 vote for budget bills would be the biggest gift we can give the left.
don't cave. Don't change the vote. frick the left.

Trump should veto it just to make a point.

I’ve heard that the shutdown has sucked upwards of $20 billion out of the economy, money that will NEVER be recovered

No it wouldn't.
It would allow single issue bills and they couldn't hide all the bullshite they put into ominbus bills.
You don't want it because you want to protect the bullshite.

No...I don't want the commie left to pass some crazy shite by 1 vote with a bare majority. There is a big reason that people who understand politics are against giving them a future vote of 51 over making them break and vote for funding at 60 votes.

The only people who want 60 votes are deep state swamp fricks because it allows them to hide all their bullshite in omnibus bills.
If you haven't noticed, the left is constantly passing everything they want for years with little to no real resistance from the right.

The Democrats will cave after these elections.
They think it’s helping them

Lowering the cloture vote to 51 would be akin to the Dems doing this for court picks. That blew up in their face, lowering it on budget deals would do it to the right.
Stop and think for the first time in your life. They are hoping to get the GOP to lower the threshold, that's why they are asking for the impossible in their CR.

Your bullshite would hit better if not for the fact the current way has only served the left for the past 17 years.

You are way to the left of me. What you want to protect is the deep state.
Single issue bills or frick off. This excuse that the republicans can't use them to make real changes out of fear of what the left would do is bullshite propaganda and you should fell bad for spreading it.
The left and the deep state has ALWAYS wanted this shite.
I smell a neocon.
