ETA: More info. Seems it was institutional racism untill the 1970's.... now just good old racism.

I had Mormon friends in HS. They told me that originally, being black was considered a curse. But, one of the Mormon presidents long ago had a revelation that negated that. Hey believe that their president is connected to god, so whatever he says is law.

I don’t believe in mythology so I’m a shithead? The only difference between me and you is I believe in one fewer mythological being than you.

At least you can believe in Santa, Virginia?

What did Santa ever do to deserve your war on Christmas?

VIRGINIA, your little friends are wrong. They have been affected by the skepticism of a skeptical age. They do not believe except they see. They think that nothing can be which is not comprehensible by their little minds. All minds, Virginia, whether they be men’s or children’s, are little. In this great universe of ours man is a mere insect, an ant, in his intellect, as compared with the boundless world about him, as measured by the intelligence capable of grasping the whole of truth and knowledge.

Yes, VIRGINIA, there is a Santa Claus. He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist, and you know that they abound and give to your life its highest beauty and joy. Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus. It would be as dreary as if there were no VIRGINIAS. There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry, no romance to make tolerable this existence. We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight. The eternal light with which childhood fills the world would be extinguished.

Not believe in Santa Claus! You might as well not believe in fairies! You might get your papa to hire men to watch in all the chimneys on Christmas Eve to catch Santa Claus, but even if they did not see Santa Claus coming down, what would that prove? Nobody sees Santa Claus, but that is no sign that there is no Santa Claus. The most real things in the world are those that neither children nor men can see. Did you ever see fairies dancing on the lawn? Of course not, but that’s no proof that they are not there. Nobody can conceive or imagine all the wonders there are unseen and unseeable in the world.

You may tear apart the baby’s rattle and see what makes the noise inside, but there is a veil covering the unseen world which not the strongest man, nor even the united strength of all the strongest men that ever lived, could tear apart. Only faith, fancy, poetry, love, romance, can push aside that curtain and view and picture the supernal beauty and glory beyond. Is it all real? Ah, VIRGINIA, in all this world there is nothing else real and abiding.

No Santa Claus! Thank God! he lives, and he lives forever. A thousand years from now, Virginia, nay, ten times ten thousand years from now, he will continue to make glad the heart of childhood.

He wasn't in a prophecy, but he was likely a divine intervention. Literally, this nation almost fell to Islamic radicalism and atheist heathenism like Europe has. It was metaphorically as bad as when the Turks made it to the gates of Vienna. But we are now holding the line and the ramparts of Christianity and Western Civilization will remain upright.

Do you believe in global warming being threat to humankind? If so I believe in one less mythology than you.

Do you believe that fracking causes earthquakes and poisons the water? If so, I believe in 2 fewer mythologies than you.

Wrong. Jesus remained a Jew during the entirety of His first advent, and He didn't found the Catholic church, that was done by one of His disciples, Peter. Jesus never developed, nor practiced, any of the many rituals later developed by the Catholic church.

interesting, except for the part where jesus told peter

Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah! For this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by My Father in heaven. 18And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it. 19

matthew 16:18

and the part where he invented the Eucharist

While they were eating, Jesus took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying, “Take and eat; this is my body.” 27 Then he took a cup, and when he had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you. 28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

matthew 26:17-30

other than that huckuva job! brownie.

enjoy he11!

You do realize that the gospel of Matthew was written some 40 years after the death of Christ right?

Some how after 40 years Matthew was able to remember exactly what Jesus said to direct quote him? I can't even direct quote conversations from a day ago. But don't worry they have an answer for that also. They were guided to write these books with the assistance of the Holy Spirit right?

Or maybe the early Church leaders wrote what they wanted to when forming their Church to suit their needs. For all we know Jesus was nothing like what the gospel writers portray him as.

Exactly. It’s just a test. Sort of how like God didn’t immediately intervene to free the Hebrews from slavery from the Egyptians.

Actually, God created life and gave man the free will to choose good or evil. They create that.

No. Christians have been shamed by atheist and Islamic scum long enough. The war on Christmas by the left when they were in power was shameful and disgraceful. We are taking this nation, which is a Christian nation, back.

christianity is dead bro. there are less true believers now than at any other point in our countries history.. and that trend will continue :cheeers:

give it another 20 years for the old people to die off and even seeing a church will be rare
