Jesus, as God, came to Earth as a sacrifice for sin. Only a God-sized sacrifice could erase such massive sin. We receive salvation when we believe this. Salvation is a free gift.
God didn't have to save us, He chose to; it is by His Grace, and only His Grace.
This is Christianity.
Peter's proclamation in Matthew 16:16, that Jesus is, "...the Christ, the Son of the Living God," is the Rock, the truth, upon which He would build His church.
Peter, the proclamation, not Peter, the man.
Look, I respect the Catholics, and believe they are fellow Christians. I don't hold to some of the Catholic Church's teachings.
Do Catholics seriously believe nonCatholic Christians are going to hell?

Ask a Catholic priest. I will say that the Catholic Church is the original universal and one true Church established by Jesus Christ Himself.

His legislative failings?
The executive branch is part of the legislature now?
Dumbass.

I know what Christ taught, but I also know what the OT god taught. Same person, is it not?
Jesus also said something about not coming to abolish the old but fulfill scripture. Not 100% sure of th wording on that.

What I find so ironic is Christian conservatives are the first to holler fake news, generally without any research into the matter.
But a book from thousands of years ago, written down from hearsay and gossip that makes completely outrageous and unproved claims, with a “good god” who savagely murders people for sport and protagonist allegedly raising people from the dead, for the totality of which there is absolutely no contemporary evidence, whatsoever. But it’s totally legit.

Hot take: White Christians that believe they are oppressed are the biggest snowflakes in this country.

OK we get it...you hate God. Because you can't hate something you don't believe in, right?

So being a member of the Roman Catholic church is necessary for salvation?

I said it already and I'll say it again: ASK A CATHOLIC PRIEST.

Obama is a Kenyan, and a manchurian candidate. See I can do it too, it's easy.

I am sure that our liberal posters are triggered by this but Judeo Christian ethics are the light of the world.
To be honest there are other cultures that have developed great and wonderful ethos, too. Buddhism comes immediately to mind. Japan does fairly well without the great Jewish zombie in the sky too. But as for as JC being the heart and soul of western civilization, there is no doubt.

No.
Do protestants really believe the pope is the anti-Christ?
Do Mormons really believe dark skin is a mark of shame from god?

No. But someone who understands the bible would say that accepting Jesus Christ is the only way. Believers believe, others do not, others have doubt and questions.

1. Probably the ones that believed Obama was the anti-Christ
2. Can't say for certain, but I've never seen a Mormon that wasn't white.
