Our military has been an absolute embarrassment for years and it's only getting worse. Have not won a war in generations

I believe they lost that plane in that specific manner as much as I believe Joe Biden got 81 million votes.

How does "unexpected heavy weather" surprise a modern day nuclear-powered aircraft carrier equipped with the most powerful weather monitoring systems in the world?

But I bet they can identify all the pride flags correctly!

Aren't they supposed to have a crew dedicated to monitoring the weather?

Unless you have been in 25ft+ seas on a ship then you don't understand. I have and no amount of gripes will secure shite.
The Navy is certainly in a weird as spot, but this is one were nature is simply better.

WTF? Where are you getting 25 ft seas?
TRUMAN was in the middle of an UNREP.
High seas/winds for a DDG is one thing. We’re talking about a fricken CVN. We should not be losing planes to unusual weather.
FYI…served on TRUMAN during maiden deployment.

Our Navy
I retired from the USAF in 2017 and took a job on a navy base with a DoD contract company. Left for a much better gig after about a year and a half.
I hadn't been around a lot of Navy folks before, but those were the laziest, fattest, sloppiest, dumbest folks i had ever seen in uniform...and i had been stationed with Army folks, so that's saying something

The most of have lost their feed to the weather channe Probably all of those massive radars on the ship, plus the radars from the supporting flotilla. I can see how this would sneak up on them

How did the crew do in their pronoun and CRT tests? That’s all that matters
