Rumor from Mike Lee on twitter is DC mayor to invoke 3rd amendment to help push the military troops out of their hotels. If true this will be a logistical nightmare to keep under control.

Can someone explain what the 3rd amendment has to do with this:
National Guard staying in hotel not even open to the public, paying fair market rate. Others staying in government facilities.
It has been a while since I slept through a civics class but doesn't the 3A have to do with soldiers forcibly staying in private quarters and displacing the residents? Neither of which apply here.
Is this just another example of the left demonstrating their complete lack of understanding of the law and their usefulness as useful idiots?
