Once again, both sides are way over the top (re immigration kids)

On one side, everyone that cross the border is committing an illegal act, and criminals lose their kids all the time
On the other side, it's completely inhumane to "rip" children from moms and we are the only country on earth doing this.
Truth is, as usual, in the middle.
If a family walks up to a border checkpoint, says "we seek asylum" we should not split them apart. We should find a way to keep them together and get them through the process to become a legal citizen as quickly as we can. Screen em, vet em, sign them up, and roll out.
If a family is caught in the US without having presented themselves previously, then treat them as criminals and split them up.
People who attempt to play by the rules should not be treated the same as people who ignore the rules.
And yes... I know the asylum system is abused. If they are going to come here, work, pay taxes, etc, I don't care why they are coming. We should let them come.
If the GOP presented themselves as the party who welcomes hard-working legal immigrants, we would never lose another national election.

Your "middle" is literally what is happening.

This is what is happening, except when caught, they try to claim asylum after the fact.

You do realize this is exactly what is occurring. The very limited “separations” are occurring only with the “families” that are caught crossing illegally, not at the “Port of Calls”. Reading is fundamental. Don’t believe the bullshite being spread by the MSM and the like of Toddy, Cruiser and TBoy.

What do we do with illegal men who buy a kid on the way, walk up to the border and say “we seek asylum”? Is having a kid with you supposed to get you in the country easier? If so, there’s going to be a human trafficking supply network to supply those kids.

Why should we take everyone who claims they are seeking asylum?

We do welcome legal immigrants. Only problem is the liberals and media have lost their minds and believe illegal and legal immigration are the same.
By the way, the kids being pulled from their parents has been going on for decades. This isn't a new policy. The media just didn't care about it until Trump showed up.

Do you have any unbiased proof that families are only being split apart because they are already here illegally?
I have done tons of reading and can't find a single article from a reputable source.

Nah... This amazingly wasn't an issue when the messiah BHO was in office... So, the "truth" is no one really gave a shite until now...

I am going to link this article in every separation post for those who are not informed on whats actually happening.
No legal entry request families are being separated. That's a lie.

Most immigrants especially from the south are religions, two-parent family people who want to work hard. That is, or at least used to be, the mainstream GOP.
Most of them are not here for "free shite". They are willing to work. Now, if someone offers them "free shite", of course they will take it (like any of us would do as well).

The republicans nor any other conservative have ever been against legal immigration.
