These "Madison Dinners" included cocktails and a parting gift of a pen and journal. Someone has to stop this!! And, get this, those that attended are all Republicans!!
NBC story
And someone walked Pompeos dog, his wife confirmns with the guests with a private gmail acct, the IG was fired without cause and Chick-fil-As CEO knows nothing about foreign policy!!
quote:
The records show that about 29 percent of the invitees came from the corporate world, while about a quarter of them hailed from the media or entertainment industries, with conservative media members heavily represented. About 30 percent work in politics or government, and just 14 percent were diplomats or foreign officials. Every single member of the House or the Senate who has been invited is a Republican.

Commanders in the military have servants. He's the Secretary of State. People do his shite for him. That's just how it is.

Chick-fil-A CEO probably knows more about foreign policy than your average Democrat!!!

"I am concerned by allegations that the Secretary appears to be using those taxpayer resources to host large domestic-focused political gatherings that serve little-to-no foreign policy purpose," Sen. Bob Menendez of New Jersey, the top Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee

Politico
When we get mad at others for it, it is hypocritical of us to make an excuse for another.
Like I said, I dont give a frick, but lets not act like its bad for one side and good for another.

That wouldn't even merit an audit in a military setting, as long as the total value is under $300.

Did you think the same way when Michell Obama had a 100 servants waiting on her hand and foot?

The article doesn’t have any Republicans criticizing Klobuchar for making staffers do personal chores for her. In fact, the article states:
“The run-up to Klobuchar’s expected presidential campaign launch on Sunday was sidetracked by former aides, speaking anonymously for fear of retribution, who described a toxic office environment including demeaning emails, thrown office supplies and requests for staff to perform personal chores for the senator.”

Im not a Dem or left sided person. Im just saying what I believe.
I understand Mike is a very busy man, but you have one of your employees underneath you start walking your dog if its no big deal
See where that lands you. Im just pointing out its unethical and idiots here are losing their minds. Especially when ive now said, for the 3rd time, I dont care if he does do it.

It basically reads to me like: ‘Who the hell does he think he is, reaching so much outside the Beltway swamp for his invite list?!?!’

Do you know there are General’s Aides in the military who run errands, do landscaping, walk the dog, act as wait staff for parties and do any job the general if spouse ask him/her to do?? And it’s all in the job description. People actually apply knowing all this. Could be the same in this case.

You seem to be extrapolating a lot out of one little goofy blurb.

quote:Dog Walking could actually be a sensitive issue. The SOS, no matter which party is in power, handles sensitive, delicate, and Top Secret stuff. People who have access to their homes, pets, and belongings must be vetted to prevent espionage.

Maybe the Chinese could payoff/coerce a neighbor tasked with walking the pooch while SOS is out of country and have them bug the dog's collar or something. Or if the neighbor is walking the pooch it stands to reason the neighbor has access to either/both the SOS home and grounds to potentially conduct espionage.
Now define the media's usage of terms. Is a SS agent assigned to SOS considered a "staffer" by media out to portray a specific angle to a story?

Oh bullshite, you are a dupe who let's the left define things.
You actually think they don't do this too?
His time is more valuable than his stff.
The fricking IG was crooked. This is a bullshite diversion. I guess once a leftist IG is installed they can NEVER be gotten rid of because they are ALWAYS "investigating" something, even though the president has the right whenever he wants and democrat presidents do it all the time.
Wake the frick up.
