Old guys who were handsy with girls when they were teens should be replaced by women

Congressman King, if a man commits sexual assault when he is 17, whether drunk or not, he should not be allowed to, for example, serve a lifetime appointment in the highest court of the land. Period.
There is a new standard. And yes, this new standard may indeed preclude an entire generation of men from judgeships, elected office, and running Fortune 500 companies.

Meanwhile, a generation of women (who, notably, have not been accused of assault) have long been precluded from holding these seats in government and business due to discrimination. Now they might get their chance.

I guess RBG and Sotomayor and Kegen and O'Connor are not real women?

That's just dumb. Really, really dumb. But... given who posted it, I wouldn't expect anything less.

Nice selective cut and paste.

We don't know if it happened, but, even if it did, should it really be disqualifying? "I'm thinking, is there any man in this room that wouldn't be subjected to such an allegation? A false allegation?," argued Congressman Steve King. "If that's the new standard, no man will ever qualify for the Supreme Court again."

Just imagine a future with these people in charge.
"There is a new standard. If anyone laughed at a racist joke, even if they were young, or it was in a popular movie like Blazing Saddles, he should not be allowed to have a career. He should be held accountable and ostracized for the rest of his life. This is an unpardonable sin."

Ah, yes. Patti Solis Doyle. Longtime aide of Hillary Clinton and political advisor for Obama's 2008 presidential campaign. Color me shocked.

Okay, so that's ANOTHER reason I'll never be on the Supreme Court.....

The irony here is that these women only get away with saying these things because men let them.

Then who's going to do the dishes?

Can't speak for O'Connor but in the case of RBG, Sotomayor and Kagan....only under the strictest definition could they be construed as women.

. I, for one, remember the feeling of those fingers on my breast -- the threat, humiliation, indignity, and fear -- in excruciating detail. You just do.
And yet Ford can't remembered when it happened, the house it happened in, or any other details that would allow future Associate Justice Kavanaugh to defend himself.
I'd bet Ms. Doyle could point out the exact spot it happened within inches and the date and time it occurred. She surely remembers everything that happened afterwards. Ford can't even remember how she allegedly got to the house, left the house, or whose house it was.

If you actually stop and listen to the message these so called leaders in Washington are sending out you quickly realize that they think we are all idiots and are incapable of common sense thinking.
Which, except for rare cases is probably true.
None of this shite matters if the American voting public decides to used that common sense and stop playing the political pawn game they so called leaders use to control your vote.

That would be slut shaming, would it not? We can't do that anymore, can we?
