Russia is the last country we want to frick with in the ME. They greatly outnumber US forces in Syria.

Also our forces in Iraq are greatly hampered. You can say the military is there by invitation, so we can not act unless defending ourselves. So the rocket attacks....even of we know they are in the area...we have to sit on our hands and take it.

WAR is not going to unit us with the issues we have in this country. It may make it worse if their was a draft.

So you think we're dumb and will rally around another war?

Forget it. I don't have to go around the world to find my enemies. And Putin never called me deplorable.

Hell, I feel naive and betrayed over the wars I supported in the past.

I didn't say it would. I believe it is a tool from a very old tool kit and the evil idiots running our country would surly give it a shot, (pardon the pun).

I used to buy into the notion that we fight them there, so we don't have to fight "them" here, lie.

Our "National Interest"?

I don't believe that anymore.

Only way I will support another war is if we are directly attacked and the war is actually against those who attacked us.

That can be tricky. Think Gulf of Tonkin, which got US into the Vietnam conflict/police action..

The Gulf of Tonkin didn't result in any American casualties, though. Starting a war over that incident was dumb and not very well-thought out. Then, fighting the war the way it was fought wasn't well-thought out either. No exit strategy and America kinda just winged it the entire time.

Trump not starting a war with Iran after they attacked our military base in Iraq last year was the result of lessons learned from the Gulf of Tonkin, in my opinion.

No American casualties = no war
American casualties = it's on like donkey kong

When we are attacked is typically the only time Americans unite in support of war. Which makes me think it wouldn't be shocking if we were "attacked" at some point in the near future.

You wanna unite the country, stop allowing the media and big tech to cut information off from the people and bring back free speech. That maybe a good place to start.

You need to face some facts, the country can and will NEVER unite with leftist ideology. This is a certainty. There are citizens of this country who just want to live their lives and provide for their children, and be good neighbors. Then there are the ghouls on the left that want to take everything from you, so you can be equally as miserable as they are. Ask C on Z. The jealousy of those types of trash, is never satiated. They want you, and your family destroyed because their lives have been destroyed by their own actions.

Leftists only believe in the equitable distribution of misery. That has been historical fact since day 1.

I can't imagine us being in an all out war with Biden's cognitive issues. That prospect is scary as shite just on it's own. Can you imagine the power vacuum there would be in the room when critical, quick decisions would need to be made?? Hard to hide those type problems when you have cabinet officials, joint chiefs, etc sitting there needing a quick decision and Biden sitting there not knowing where he is.

The US is still a very dangerous military opponent simply because of our military technology but I wouldn’t want to put our current ground troops up against Russia or China in a slugfest. We’ve become increasingly soft since The Iraq War. A lot of the men’s men have left the military.

Nope. Enlightened Americans are FED UP with foreign wars; way too many of our best have been maimed for life. And what do we have to show for it? Zilch!

Hell, we can't even police and clean up our own inner city dysfunctional/waring society...much less those Nations or people we have little or nothing in common with...some who hate our culture of Freedom. (former Culture that is).

Sad and dangerous that it has come to this, but if the COC orders another war, most people won't abide it...and I wouldn't hold it against those who acted via massive insubordination and overt desertion in the Ranks. The Powers That Be have been exposed; that won't go away. Respect and reverence must be earned...not given out for Ideological, Political or Systematic/Bureaucratic worship/service.

Agreed! We, US Citizens seem to have wised up to that kind of ploy again. Hell, I was all fired up in 91, under HW, and was highly entertained by it, (sad to say). Then after 911, I was all fired up again, for a while.

We should not send regular troops anywhere, unless Congress actually declares WAR, for change and then only "IF" the ones sending their SONs and daughters, believe it necessary and not done half assed.

As long as "War" is over there and it's a limited conflict no one will care or unite anything..

But any attack on US soil that may stop kids from playing "Call of duty", or jeopardize people from getting free shite like food stamps or stimulus checks, then it will be a prime concern.

Nobody gonna care about a war until their lives are affected one way or another... for example.. they can't go clubbing on Saturday night.
