Trump's still POTUS, stock futures are up, tax bill will probably pass, there, I'm done melting........., who's next to release their melt?

Moore's losing was unfortunate but he was about the most unelectable candidate that AL /conservatives/republicans could have chosen to run against Jones. I still say give the Dims credit, they dug up the dirt/accusations against Moore, got the Enemedia behind the stories and it worked. Just proves that "muckraking" can still be an effective strategy when it's all ya got left.

This might help get the tax bill pushed through more quickly. This should help moderate the GOP a bit and ensure we hold the Senate longer term (although it likely hurts MAGA in its purest form).

Emboldened by the Jones victory, I look for Democrats and liberal Republicans to suddenly begin to find new areas of concern in the tax bill. Look for them to delay passage until Jones is seated, continuing to deny Trump and the Republicans any legislative accomplishments.

Same. I live in Alabama and always thought I could take or leave Moore. I hoped he'd beat Jones, but I was never crazy about him in the first place. It sucks that a Dem won, but it's no surprise considering the GOP pulled all funding from Moore and actively campaigned against him.
I would bet most right-leaning Alabamians feel about the same way I do.

For the past year ever little negative post of Trump was swiftly dealt with by the go to melt response. Yesterday's and today's posts all around, if consistent are on that melt level.

Dude, 99% of the righties on this board confidently predicted that Roy would win. And most predicted a landslide victory. They gloated prematurely. They doubled down as the election got closer and even split their bets with only 65% reporting. Today, their tune has changed. Shocker. You know it; I know it. Were you in that 1% who predicted Jones?

Of course the lack of legislative accomplishment could be because the tax bill (and everything else trump as introduced) is a crock of shite? The Senators and Representatives who don't vote for the tax bill, do not see it as much of a benefit to their base.

Callers on 99.5 in Birmingham are melting down hard this morning.
They are going after Matt and Leland with a vengeance. Calling for an all out boycott of their sponsors because they railroaded Moore.

The good people of AL made a statement, their self righteousness is greater than the desire to drain the Swamp.
