Curiious how you spin the announcements of

Business Insider

AT&T said Wednesday it will pay a $1,000 bonus to more than 200,000 US employees after the GOP tax bill is enacted. "Once tax reform is signed into law, AT&T plans to invest an additional $1 billion in the United States in 2018 and pay a special $1,000 bonus to more than 200,000 AT&T US employees - all union-represented, non-management and front-line managers," a company press release said. "If the president signs the bill before Christmas, employees will receive the bonus over the holidays."

Boeing released a statement announcing "immediate commitments for an additional $300 million in investments that will move forward as a result of the new tax law.

Fifth Third Bancorp

Fifth Third Bancorp said it would raise its minimum hourly wage for all employees to $15, with 3,000 hourly employees benefiting from the hike. The bank also said it would distribute a one-time bonus of $1,000 to about 75% of its employees.

NBC Comcast

Brian Roberts, CEO of Comcast NBC Universal, said the company would award $1,000 special bonuses to more than 100,000 eligible frontline and non-executive employees following tax reform and the repeal of net neutrality. Roberts also pledged to spend $50 billion over the next five years investing in infrastructure, saying that the investments would "add thousands of new direct and indirect jobs."

That's really the only explanation. The only reason they have so much to give back and invest right now is because they have been holding back so as to not contribute to the success of America's first black president.

It's savagely racist on all counts.

there's no way people here dont actually know the answer to this, but frick it, ill play along anyway:

trump has always run his businesses in the most shady and corrupt ways possible. been this way since day one, for decades. its not even up for debate. he doesnt even pay his employees. christ, even as the President of the United States, 4 different law firms refused to represent him because they know they'd never get paid.

this is just one of the reasons so many of his businesses have failed. even in the casino industry, where the slogan is "the house always wins", he failed not once, not twice, but three times (the Trump Plaza Casino and Hotel, the Trump Marina Hotel Casino, and the Trump Taj Mahal).

a few of the other failures:

Trump Airlines
Trump Steaks
Trump Vodka
Trump University
GoTrump.com
Trump Mortgage
Trump Magazine
Trump Water
Trump Power (an energy drink)
the Tour de Trump
Trump on the Ocean
Trumped talk radio
Trump New Media
and my personal favorite, The Trump Network, a vitamin pyramid scheme

so to answer your question as to why businesses would prefer to operate under trump, its because they know they can do whatever the frick they want. rules and laws and regulations, even basic morality, dont matter anymore. obama held them accountable. trump wont give a frick. he'll probably even try to get in on the action.

oh my fricking god. no you fricking inbred, they fail because he has no ethics. theres hundreds of stories about this, going back decades.

i could not have been more clear about that, so you're either playing dumb or are actually dumb. neither option is all that great.

Sometimes, but bad ethics often results in large numbers of firms and customers no longer wanting anything to do with you as well as regulators giving you attention you would not have gotten otherwise. It can be good in the short term, but often comes back to bite companies in the arse in a very very big way.

That's why, even in business, you should always follow the Golden Rule.

Our business remained stagnant during the Obama years but we didn't lose any ground to competitors who were also hunkered down.

No one in our industry trusted Obama's EPA

How that was effectuated into policy was through his aggressive enactment of ever more intrusive and expensive regulations.

I'm just speaking in general, not really trying to defend the other poster. You just made a bad argument that was easily refutable. Step your came up, cap.

Well, there is no way a community organizer with zero experience in business could possibly understand what it is like to run a business. Neither he or anyone on his staff had any manufacturing experience at all so they couldn't possibly begin to understand what is involved.Businesses were just mean entities that paid minimum wage and the owners took advantage of the poor. He had no idea what it took to start, survive, and grow a business.

He just lacked the basic understanding of business, the economy, fiscal responsibility, etc... Since he left office he is hanging out with multi-millionaires and billionaires. In other words being a typical politician.
