Well, Barry, that's something we'll never know for sure, because you CAN'T run again.

So take that colossal fricking ego of yours and choke on it, bitch.

With 2012 democratic turnout republicans would have lost this election. It's not a stretch to say Obama would have drawn more voters than Hillary.

Turnout was higher in 2016

Two months ago I would have agreed. I even thought Hillary was going to win till about 7pm election night.

But how can he say this when the nearly complete opposite of Obama won the election?

Yeah turnout was 54.9% in 2012 and 55.3% in 2016.

Most votes ever cast in 2016 but that's due to the increasing population.

Obama's high rating as a two term President is directly related to him being our first black president and that is it. People especially White people don't want to give him a bad rating when poled strictly due to his race. He is by far the worst President of all time i.e. a big time divider of the people, coruptor of our government, destroyer of law and order and has totally destroyed the Democratic Party 1030, a lost seats during his two terms. Enough said.

This is wrong.

As flawed of a candidate as Hillary is, Obama would have united a coalition against him that would have been unstoppable. There would have been no dissension among the ranks among conservatives, neocons and even the libertarians would have been out in force.

Yet another person who believes the polls.

Obama's approval rating lately is because the polls are fake.

Do you remember an outgoing president saying something like that in public?
Bill Clinton said something similar when Gore lost.

It's amusing seeing all of these Hillary voters living vicariously through Obama!

He went undefeated against candidates who were better and more qualified than Trump, so I have no reason not to believe this.

Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsyvania and Michigan were not going Obama and I doubt North Carolina goes Obama. I believe Florida probably goes Obama but I'm not even sure.

Florida is a close state but it trends red. Florida's had a Republican governor since 1999. Obama only won Florida by 2.8 and .8 in his two elections and he was the greatest democratic get out the vote candidate of all time. Trump beats Obama in Florida with the way he preformed in the rural areas like McCain and Romney couldn't.

yes they are...that's pretty well been established around here and to the rest of the world. Would "inaccurate" make you feel better? How is the president's popularity gauged? If your implying I'm stupid because I think your hero president is not all that and a bucket of chicken...GFY. He won't be getting any calls to go hang out with all his Hollywood heroes. Bet Tiger was making fun of him the other day playing golf with Trump.

Six months ago I would have believed this, no questions asked.

Now, I don't. Obama and his policies were drummed. Absolutely drummed. The Dems lost more seats universally than any point in history under Obama's reign. I too thought the Progs had successfully put more people on the tit while bringing in more illegal voters to their team. After all, Obama did promote this during the election.

Fact is, Americans overall DO NOT WANT TO RELY ON GOVERNMENT. That, to me, was the message this election.

I also think Obama's approval ratings are a product of fear. Fear of being branded a racist if you don't approve. Exit polls reflected this as well. People did not want to admit they were voting for Trump for this very reason.

So, no, I think Obama loses a close one. I would give Obama the nod on campaigning though. Unlike Hillary, he wouldn't have taken a victory for granted and just sat at home and waited on the media and his violent ilk to do the dirty work. He would have gotten out there and given speeches, etc.
