Read the novels and keep in mind when they were written, and don't go by the movies.
He absolutely wrote some things the US was either doing, or considering doing; and he laid out in detail a lot of how it would be done and why. There was a lot of stuff that people didn't want being put out there for public consumption.

I don’t even think they are all dead. The only president I know had a kill list Is Bush the wiser, but that was at the CIA not the White House. The president doesn’t get a kill list, sorry guys. (I am not saying there are not and have not always been kill list, or the president can’t get some one killed, I am just saying the President doesn’t get a personal kill list for obvious plausible deniability reasons.
