I don't like or trust the failing NYT. BUT I have followed Rukmini Callimachi's work for a while now. She is a PRO.
The fact that this is coming from her means that we can be 99% sure that ISIS was behind this.

Funny she gave a radio interview Sunday and said a lot of these same things but didn't think ISIS was behind it.

And I don't know why you did that since her summary conclusion is right there in the snippet you posted:

Does this mean ISIS had a role in Vegas? There is yet zero evidence of that. My point: this group has been more right than it's been wrong.
One thing she didn't say, probably unintentionally, is how many of those other 47 were TRUE claims. Because 3 FALSE claims out of 50, does not necessarily mean the other 47 are TRUE, and may mean those ere verifiable FALSE. And I bet at least some of those are claims with enough conflicting or missing evidence, that it can't be verified one way or the other.
So the quote is actually very informative and rational. But your title is clearly misrepresenting her argument. Why would you misrepresent it, when it's clear from what you posted?
