They let Trump supporters do the op ed letters on Thursday. I thought the letters were by and large, spot on. To see what we're dealing with on the left, take a gander at the comments. It's like we're in two entirely different countries. my time op ed

How on earth could the nyt let these bigoted letters be published? Is the nyt trying to promote natzism?

I wish papers would have two news sections - one left, one right.

Times should do this on a regular basis.

Love how open the NY times is about their position on Trump at the top of this piece.

Hackery of the highest...

If we did, everyone from the left would end up illegally emigrating to the right because there would be barely anyone to tax for their entitlements.

Welcome to the internet where comment sections provide an endless supply of stupidity, anger, even outright rage, and not a single demographic is able avoid having individuals who join the cringeworthy ridiculousness. Don't judge the internet by that alone because it's a pretty cool and useful place overall. Besides it should provide hope that if Al Gore can get it right once, we all have the potential to do something right.

Most of those dotards in the comments list “climate change” as one of their top priorities yet scoff at the effects of a tax cut. And they wonder why Trump won....

Yes, I was a Trump voter. There, I’ve said it. Though I am subjecting myself to derision, I think that President Trump has performed well policywise. Changes for the good of our country in both foreign and domestic affairs have happened under his watch.

Much of the media, as the hotbed of hatred against Mr. Trump, has pushed me more toward him than his social behavior has done the opposite.

Good find Big Chipper. Obviously the worm is turning in favor of Trump if anything vaguely pro-Trump is getting publicity. There are some nuggets in there for sure:
quote:

Reading through all these letters, just makes me want to go outside and scream.

quote:

The stock market is enormously over-inflated; most Americans don't even own stock anyway.

quote:

. These are the people that Hillary Clinton referred to as "deplorables" and while it was not smart politics on her part, the harsh fact is she spoke the truth about them.

quote:

y. I truly find it hard to understand how people like that can accept him. The only reason I can think of is they are being informed by non-mainstream news organizations and therefore cannot appreciate the immense harm he is doing to our country.

quote:

No, Trump voters are not circus freaks. They are quite predictable, even boring - I've heard all of this unimpressive, half-baked blather before in various packages - "banality of evil."

quote:

Testosterone as applied here seems to revel in Testosterone poisoning, which is a highly pejorative metaphor for the worst sort of stereotypically male behavior, specifically aggressively predatory behavior in men in relation to all things, whether women or war.

That is definitely been my case.

So while the OP is apparently new to the internet, at least the internet is relatively new. You’re apparently new to the concept of an editorial, which probably dates back a few more centuries.

I think everyone on the right would love this . The left would hate it because they need the tax payers to give out their entitlements.

The fact that anyone still thinks the MSM is a bastion of truth is extremely depressing.
