Not every voter in America needs an abortion....

But every voter in America needs a job and or a strong Economy.....
All this talk of the Alabama abortion ban hurting the President is wishful whistling past the electoral graveyard, it's just NOT THAT DAMNED important to the vaunted "independents" when compared to their pocket books and whether they can afford to send their kids to good schools.
The eventual Democrat nominee will have been forced to the Left of Marx/Lenin/Mao/BMY in the primary and will be poison in the general.
People might be turned off by the strict abortion laws, but in the end, the Economy and crime will win out as the deciding issues with voters...they almost always do.

I agree 100%.
Strict abortion laws probably do more harm than good, concerning independents. But... not enough harm to cost the election. Not when you consider the alternative (post-birth abortions, no planes or cars in 10 years, etc.)

People tearing their clothes and heaping ashes on their heads about the possibility of Roe being overturned by SCOTUS are being intellectually dishonest about the entire affair. It would (and well should be) a state's rights issue.
Their subtext that they refuse to acknowledge is that they demand their beliefs be imposed on states that do not share those values, but if the tables were turned and the ban were nationwide, they'd lose their minds even more.

Not to you perhaps, but to many it obviously is.
This is about overturning a bad scotus decision that interferes with the right of the States. So any "independent" that cares about state soverienty needs to get their head out of their arse.

Ohhhhh and you are whining like a bitch about what is important, when the house is trying to push a strict "gay rights" bill that would continue to chip away at our rights, and that they know wont see light in the senate.

But every voter in America should be literate and read the founding documents so they don't make such a stupid comparison....

Guys like Covington, although seems like a good, passionate dude, is way off base in the damage done in my view.
If GEOTUS comes out somewhat against it, this will blow over by tomorrow.

Just trying to one up the stupidity of the op- had to come at ya strong.

The OP was a valid point, you are simply trying in vain to make a cute rebuttal but lack the IQ to do so in an effective manner....
Posted on 5/17/19 at 9:29 am to oogabooga68
No it’s not valid at all considering half of the voters in America can’t get pregnant and be forced to carry a birth to term anyway.

It would be for now. But overturning Roe would also open the door for a national law, needing only a majority vote in Congress and a willing president to sign it. That makes this a bigger deal than what happens in Alabama.
Oh BTW, there are prolifers who argue that the SCOTUS should throw out all legal abortion laws on 14th amendment grounds. LINK
And Plan B has been raised on this board. Welp, a lot of prolifers think it should be banned as an abortifacient too.
So...is this thing going to unleash a blue wave? Probably not, but it sure has the potential to turn a few red states purple, and a few purple states blue. And that would have a big effect in such a divided government.

You're not very good at this....observe the first rule of holes...

Good grief. What is it with you people.
I'm sorry that most people want services similar to OTHER WESTERN COUNTRIES like France, United Kingdom, Germany, etc.)
That said. I agree in that focusing so much abortion instead of improving the economy is waste of political resources. It also shows that our focus is in the wrong place.

You started with a ginormous hole in the subject line itself, put down the shovel.

No, moron....the subject says "Not every voter n America needs an abortion" which is a 100%, indisputably accurate fact.....
Now go ahead and make an azz of yourself by playing stupid semantic games, you little dancing monkey.....

Link? I think it’s a great way to keep abortions to a minimum.

We are talking about 1 state here. They want to talk about a bunch of old white guys making laws for women, here’s the Supreme Court during Roe V Wade
I don’t think you have to worry about your precious baby killing being taken away.

I'm quite certain everyone here knows men can't get pregnant- did you think that point needed to be made? Please, by all means pat yourself on the back for relaying this info to the masses. It's a pretty dumb gotcha.
