Who do you hold accountable when the government shut down our businesses, and we still haven’t been able to open back up or have full capacity? Max unemployment is only $222 a week after tax in Louisiana. My family business still can’t open but that’s my fault. We just paid our $3400 tax bill for 2019.

I get that people are struggling and my heart goes out to them. What pisses me off is all the BLM and Antifa types who got stimulus checks and probably drawing fed and state unemployment checks. They need to go back to their waiter/waitress jobs so maybe their time will be occupied to distract them from causing chaos. Giving them more money just enables them to cause more trouble.

The poorest people will just use it to spend recklessly and those at the upper end of the stimulus spectrum will save it or use it towards something more meaningful

I'm all for it for those that actually need the money. I'm not for sending money to everybody who is eligible based on income alone. The majority of the country is still working. If someone was/is unemployed due to covid the fed gov was/is already sending them $600/wk. My college student daughter was making more on unemployment with fed stimulus than she was before.
