Well, if he's anywhere near the relatively comfortable lead that many seem to insist (whether it be straight up or by fraud), he and his people should be sternly against not just a debate but any public appearances for that matter. What's there to gain? Seems like there's only something to lose.
Not that I believe any of that. I believe they're desperately trying to secure more votes, many more, because they know a serious loss is imminent if something significant doesn't go their way, and real soon.

I've got a longshot bet on Biden dropping a "the wrong son died" statement in regards to Beau and Hunter. Then, in response Hunter comes out and says that Joe made him shack up with Beau's widow so that Joe could live in a fantasy world in which the right son died.
