It appears Nike is doing just fine in the wake of one of the most predictably divisive marketing campaigns in recent memory.

Ten days after Nike announced that Colin Kaepernick would be the face of its “Just Do It” 30th anniversary ad campaign, the sports apparel behemoth’s stock price closed at an all-time high on Thursday at $83.47, according to a report from Bloomberg.

Nike had previously faced a noticeable dip in its stock price in the immediate aftermath of its Kaepernick announcement, dropping nearly 3 percent in the next day of trading at the New York Stock Exchange. That fall has since been made up and more, with the current price slightly besting the company’s previous high of $83.00 from Wednesday and an earlier peak of $82.95 on Aug. 21, 2018.

Down $0.18 (0.22%) so far today, but still above $83, the previous all-time high.

we're going to have Nike threads every day. I'm sure no one will see a correlation a year from now.

Even Nike and it's tone deaf shitty management benefits from our presidents economy. A high tide raises even the shittiest of ships.

So technically it is correct, it happened after the ad. However, you can’t say for sure it was caused by the ad.

I know this is a difficult concept to understand for half wits.

How high would it be in the absence of the ad campaign? Would it be doing even better?

Given how many people think that their “boycott” of the nfl is why ratings are down, it does not surprise me that anyone here would assume the stock bump is a result of the ad.

It's just a shift. Instead of threads from "conservatives" melting about the ad and calling for their boycotts, we get threads from "liberals" pointing at laughing at them because nothing happened.

Oh no. These are threads from liberals pointing and laughing because they're jumping to conclusions.

Are they? Or are they just watching the market? Target laughs at boycotts. So do most companies who face them because they don't work.

Every analyst is increasing Nike’s market valuation. The boycott isn’t working... at all, in fact it’s helping them

Will there be a nike topic every single day? I know libs are desperate for a win, any sort of win, but cheering on the stock value of a child labor megocorp is truly a pathetic look for them.
