I mean, that's terrible

Nike is laying off some of its staff, the company confirmed to Business Insider.

The sportswear giant also on Thursday reported a net loss of $790 million for the fourth quarter, in part a result of pandemic-related store closures.

"We are shifting resources and creating capacity to reinvest in our highest potential areas, and we anticipate our realignment will likely result in a net loss of jobs," Nike said in a statement.

my celebration is mellowed by the fact that the people really hurt in this are the decent workers just trying to make a living rather than the woke management.

Seemed like just yesterday when leftists bragged about Nike's stock price reaching record high. Good times.

Truly a shame. Truly.

These guys use child labor overseas and we’re supposed to feel what exactly? Sadness that a great left leaning company took a massive loss? Deal with it, Nike. You’ve made your bed now sleep in it. Make your product here. Employ some of the people that purchase your overpriced product and get rid of the child labor.

There’s a good chance if you work for Nike you either agree with the “wokeness” or you took the Woke Pledge......This does not include the Chinese slave labor folks.
