quote:

Lawyers for ex-players Kevin Henry and Najeh Davenport said their clients were denied awards “based on a discriminatory testing regime” that weighs demographic factors including race. Both men would have qualified for awards had race not been considered, they said.
“Black former players have been automatically assumed, through a statistical manipulation called ‘race-norming,’ to have started with worse cognitive functioning than White former players,” the lawyers wrote.

From 8-25 I missed this one, must have been the rioting.

So are they listening to the scientists?

you need to include allegedly unless there's real proof in that link. a claim is not proof. it's prob true but let's not assume it.

The border line racialism in this thread by some of the commenters is appalling.

Why can’t I say that, but I CAN say that generally, the fastest runners on the planet tend to be black?

Hmmmm.... so the NFL, an organization that's been bombarding us with shite essentially accusing all of us common folk of being racist is, in itself, actually racist. They must be run by Democrats. They just love pulling that page out if Alinsky's playbook and accusing people of the very thing they're guilty of.

The lawsuit filed (Aug. 25) is entirely misguided,” the NFL statement said. “The Settlement Program, which has already paid over $700 million in benefits to retirees and their families, was the result of arm’s-length, comprehensive negotiations between the NFL and class counsel, was approved by the federal courts after a searching review of its fairness, and always contemplated the use of recognized statistical techniques to account for demographic differences such as age, education and race. The point of such adjustments — in contrast to the complaint’s claims — is to seek to ensure that individuals are treated fairly and compared against comparable groups. But the Settlement Agreement does not require the use of any particular adjustments, and instead leaves their use to the sound discretion of the independent clinicians administering the tests in any particular case.

The NFL isn't even denying it, its in their own reply
