I just heard this is now the new talking point. Super Bowl attendees safety concerns due to the government shutdown being touted by the Democrats. No link.

That's a very easy fix. $5.7 billion for the wall.

So? It's a largely corporate event run by a for-profit business that makes billions of dollars a year. and likely 75% or more flights in for it are on private or corporate jets.

They’re admitting that the government will still be shutdown then? Sounds like they ain’t negotiating.

If they think the general public will be feeling bad that a bunch of people going to the Super Bowl will be affected by various sick outs, etc, they are dreaming.

The general belief, correct or mistaken, is that a lot of people going to the game are big money attention whores as opposed to normal fans of the Saints, Chiefs, Pats, or Rams.

Very real concern. TSA will be working 1/3 more passengers and air traffic will work double the traffic. For no pay. Many of those involved in the major planning and coordination of safety for the event have been on furlough.
