BREAKING: @GavinNewsom WILL NOT have a (D) next to his name on recall ballots as judge DENIES Team Newsom's request to let them correct their failure to ask for party ID back in 2020. Story TK

Also keep in mind: the option to list party preference only happened recently.

Technically recalls are ballot measures (hence no $$$ limits for @GavinNewsom), so different rules than candidate elections. So Newsom appearing w/o (D) was standard until 2019 law he signed

Hate to echo the majority sentiment when I posted the about Team Newsome's original challenge being filed, but it will not matter and he will still be CA's governor when it's all over.

Still, it's emblematic about his shitty governorship and good for a good

Talked to a client today that lives on CA. He said they moved the election up to September because they are expecting to go back to mask mandates and lockdowns in November.

They used some other excuse but this is what most agree is happening.
