While COVID-19 cases continue to spike across the US, the overwhelming majority of deaths and hospitalizations from the virus continue to overwhelmingly be among unvaccinated Americans, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Between Jan. 1 and Aug. 30, about 99 percent of hospital admissions were among those who hadn’t been fully inoculated, which is defined by the CDC as two weeks after the second dose of a Pfizer or Moderna vaccine or two weeks after Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose.

As of Aug. 30, a little over 1.6 million Americans were hospitalized with COVID-19 — but only about 0.65 percent of them, or 10,471 patients, were fully vaccinated, the CDC data show.

SNIP

As of Aug. 30, more than 173 million people have been fully vaccinated and just 0.01 percent of them, or 12,908 people, ended up in a hospital or have died from a breakthrough infection, according to CDC numbers.

Of those who were hospitalized, 70 percent were age 65 or older and 87 percent of deaths were in that age group.

It is difficult to ascertain how many new cases reported in the US are breakthrough infections because the CDC only tracks such cases that lead to hospitalization and deaths, but the agency said the data it has draws a clear conclusion: The risks of infection, death and hospitalization “are all much lower in vaccinated compared to unvaccinated people.”

Why are they so worried about everyone else? There’s a shot, take it if you’re scared, but stop worrying about everyone else.

The large issue, is why do the force people that have had covid to get the vaccine.

Natural antibodies is proven superior to vaccine.

Why is that???

Joe Biden said tonight that the unvaccinated needed to get vaccinated to protect the vaccinated. So what’s the vaccination for if it doesn’t protect the vaccinated from the unvaccinated?

I don't want a bunch of covid infected people near me. I don't want them on a train or plane with me. I don't want them next to be in a restaurant or waiting at a doctor's office or cutting my hair.

What if they’re vaccinated but also have covid? Is it ok then since they are vaccinated?

Sounds silly to me.

Chance of them getting infected goes way down if they're vaccinated. Probabilities.

Perhaps you should stay off of trains and planes. Perhaps you should dine at home. Don’t go to the Dr or get a haircut.

Vaccinated people can spread the virus just like unvaccinated people.

I don’t either, but what does that have to do with the shot?

Shot takers are spreading it too.

This is so damn true.

I might find myself being more accepting of the covid nazis, if they followed science.

If the results were self evident the vaxed wouldvt be shitting themselves like they are.

SMH yeah if they get covid and develop symptoms they can. The vaccination cuts down on the odds of that significantly.
