Just to put that in perspectuve youre talking ~45k people leaving on a city of 9 million, thats a population loss of 0.5%.

Fun fact: NYC has more Puerto Ricans than Puerto Rico, more Jews than Israel and by now, probably more Jamaicans and Haitians than those respective countries.
