Federalism.

I'm sure the citizens of New Jersey support this.

I have no problem with a State doing this. I don't like the Federal Government doing it.

Good for them.

Hopefully for them their citizens want it. If not, they are taxed to death already, worse than even NY.

There are New Jerseyans still alive? I’d have thought if the mandate being repealed didn’t kill them, the tax cuts certainly would.

NJ can do this and I can call them idiots.

It’s like they are daring people to move to Connecticut or Long Island.

all states should also pass law to force immigrants to get car insurance and healthcare.

Because most of the people voting for them aren't affected by this. The government is picking up the tab on a lot of these people, so they will not care about something that doesn't affect them.

The individual mandate is not about making sure everybody has access to health care. Everybody has had access to health care for a long time, rich or broke, insured or not.

The individual mandate is about making sure everybody gets paid. Hospitals, doctors, medical device manufacturers, and on and on.

I don't know. Combined federal, state and local taxes in NYC are pretty bad.
