According to details in the video in the link, the suspect poured lighter fluid down Chambers' nose and mouth before setting her on fire.

quote:

A longtime firefighter said Wednesday he had never seen a victim so badly burned when he found a young Mississippi woman lying on the ground, barely able to speak, after being intentionally set on fire.

Daniel Cole testified Wednesday about the death of 19-year-old Jessica Chambers at the capital murder trial of the man accused of killing her on Dec. 6, 2014.

"She was sitting on a blanket. Her hair was singed ... soot all around her nose and her mouth ... blistering all over her body," Cole, director of emergency operations for Panola County, told jurors.

"At one point I even laid down beside her," said Cole, fighting back tears.

Quinton Tellis, 29, is accused of killing Chambers, a former high school cheerleader from Courtland, Miss., who was found along a back road near a tree farm nearly three years ago.

The teenager, who had been doused with a flammable liquid and set ablaze, was first discovered emerging from the woods near her burning car wearing only her underwear. She died four hours later at a Memphis hospital.

Tellis has pleaded not guilty in Chambers' death.

Prosecutors claim Tellis lied repeatedly to investigators about spending time with Chambers in the hours before she was found with burns on 93 percent of her body.

I haven't heard a motive yet, but they definitely had a relationship before the murder.

Ive been watching this case closely. Today the firefighters that were first responders said that she told them that "Eric did this to me."

That's the first time that has been out. Obviously the accused is not named Eric. Something is weird in this case.

The North Mississippi scuttlebutt says that her father, who was employed by the Panola County Sheriff was helping to run drugs through the county, located on I-55 about an hour or so South of Memphis. He may have screwed someone over and this was payback. Again, all that is just small town rumor.

I have been paying attention to this case as well for quite some time. Something about this case just doesn’t ring true. I do think they got the guy but it smells like something is buried under all of this.

So burning him a the steak would be justice.

Think SCOTUS would let us?

I'll donate 10-20 gallons of diesel!
More if her family doesn't want to light him up and I get to toss the match.

I was afraid of that!
I'm still going to hope, though.

The guy is also accused of stabbing a young Asian girl 30 times. I don't think there's a conspiracy here. I think he was most likely a serial killer who didn't get very far.

That came out a long time ago. In fact, probably had something to do with why it took so long to find the guy.

“I’ve heard that from, one of the firemen, one of the law officers, and I heard that from one of the nurses. Jessica said Eric did this to me. I don’t know his last name but Eric did this to me. She said it about 15 times,” said Ben Chambers.

I think he's referring to the match lighting diesel fuel. It doesn't work that way.

Well it would appear since he killed her by burning her alive, it would be simple justice to do the same for him.

Right?
