The only thing not really being discussed is how lawsuits could/will delay the implementation of rank choice voting by the time the election takes place.

I looked it up. Lisa was defeated in the R primary in 2010. She ran as a write in and won with 39.5% of the vote. She will do the same if defeated in 2022. She wants that job for life.

As talked about already, this is nolonger the same system. They changed it last year.

Had these rules been in play then, she would not have won because 39.5% is NOT 50% plus 1 vote.

But Alaska does have a large independent/non affiliated voter demographic.

Most of which switched due to Murkowski in 2010

You see the name Joe Miller?

What did he win in 2010?

Murkowski will 100% be in 2nd or 3rd place to the gop candidates. She will have less than 20% of the votes.

It will be:

Tshibaka
Miller
Murkowski with about 30 to 35K votes.
Independent.

No way she wins.

Right, because we all know that elections all turn out exactly how we vote, right?

The two candidates with the most votes advance to a runoff to determine a final winner.
Has to be head-to-head at some point.

My rule is never vote for an incumbant in a primary. But in this scenario, I’d be best off voting someone I be think wil lose as a first choice and the candidate I actually voting for as my second choice (at least in TX). That makes no sense.

This isn't 2010 but Murkowski won over the Republican as a write-in candidate in 2010. Don't underestimate her electoral strength in Alaska.

I upvoted you bc you’re correct- not bc I like it. Murkowski has never been honestly elected in Alaska. She’s awful and deserves public humiliation. Which cannot happen. Because she has no shame.

Ranked choice voting violates the principle of one man one vote. It’s bullshite.

It’s a pity nobody has standing to challenge election laws.

Don't underestimate Trump and the voter being pissed at what she did.
