Good. Less federal employees is always a good thing.

Good. Why did they exist in the first place?

I wish the congresspeople who don't agree with the administration would adopt this policy. It is extremely effective in making Trump feel sad.

The board is required to meet twice a year but has not convened since Trump took office last January, Knowles said Tuesday. Members, most of whom have worked together for seven years, were surprised to not be consulted on Interior's recent decisions to increase visitor fees and reverse a ban on plastic water bottles in the park system. The decision to reverse climate change directives and other policies drove the decision to resign, he said. "We were frozen out," said Knowles, who emphasized that the group recognized Zinke would select new members this year but wanted "the momentum to continue" from what the board accomplished in 2016 during the park system's centennial year. Gretchen Long, a board member from Wilson, Wyo., said in an email that the nine board members resigned given the administration's seeming attitude that the group's work "could be so summarily dismissed. . . . And we worry greatly that the new initiatives incorporated in the [National Park System] are now being rescinded."

They throw a temper tantrum and ruin their career.
That's their business.
That's their business.

They're just advisers. They have regular jobs. That's why this whole thing is nothing more than yet another sideshow. The new boss told them they aren't going to get their way and this is them pouting and making a scene.
frick em.

As of 2016, the National Park Service has an annual budget of about $3 billion
With a 3 billion dollar budget I am sure there is someone on payroll who can take this on. We don't need any volunteers.
