Polling guru Nate Silver sees "a lot of issues" with President Trump's quest for reelection in November.

So much so that a "landslide" for Joe Biden is possible.

Silver appeared on ABC over the weekend to share the "big news" that FiveThirtyEight released its presidential polling averages last week.

"Joe Biden leads by around 9 points in our national polling average, and that lead has been growing. Of course, national polls don't really matter. Otherwise, Hillary Clinton would have been president," he said. "But it's worth noting that such a large lead is unusual in politics these days. Clinton never led by more than 7 points, for example, and at this point in the 2008 race, Barack Obama led John McCain by around 6 points."

Noting but an attempt to demoralize Trump supporters and suppress their vote. Don't fall for this stunt.

This board is going to say “Polls are lying, Trump wins easily” and then if he doesn’t everyone will switch to “voter fraud” discussions.

Democratic Underground trashes Silver for not being lefty enough “He’s sandbagging! Biden is gonna win Mississippi!”

The truth is, the election, like 2016, is gonna be very close.

Woldn't surprise me if it was true. There are a lot of dumb people out there that don't realize how good Trump is for the economy and how bad Biden would be. The good news is that even if Trump did lose, Biden ain't going to be in office for 8 years, he will be dead due to old age or so mentally gone he can't remember where the bedroom is or where the kitchen is.

Thus, we will have a new president again in another 4 years regardless of what happens in November.

I'll continue to grow my income regardless of who is in office. It has little impact on my day to day life.

A lot can change, but it’s incredible that Biden has this big of lead against an incumbent by doing and saying next to nothing.

I hope it is as “close” as 2016. These marginal landslide victories for Trump are nerve wracking.

Didn’t Nate have Hillary at a 98% chance in 2016?

It’s not fair, but the pandemic and the riots belong to Trump.

And they’ll go away as soon as Biden is elected.

When you go from widespread economic success to a pandemic and race riots, it will swing.

And it won’t last because Biden is a shite candidate hiding from everyone because he is senile.

Political outsiders are not welcomed. Trump was an outsider and will be the only outsider we ever see elected in our lifetimes.

For most of my life it was Clinton, Bush (X2) and then Obama. That is 31 years worth. The growth between the rich and the poor have only increased under ALL of those presidents.

Translation = if you can't make it rich on your own, it sure as hell isn't going to matter who is in DC. It's always been up to the individual to make it rich in life.

Silver’s model was by far the most bullish on Trump’s chances of the major models.

He gave Trump about a 1in 3 chance of winning on Election Day. He was far more accurate than the NYT or HuffPo models.

He nailed the midterms in 2018 and every single state in 2008.

Silver is a strong forecaster

And back to my point once again, what did he do in 2016?

I can’t believe there are people that still view him as an outsider.

They all were wrong in 2016. Very, very few people gave Trump any chance. Hell, Trump even said publically a few times over the years that he didn't expect to have any chance of getting elected and that was before he faced off against Clinton.

Look, I know the board loves to say this and that about 2016, but that doesn't mean they all will be wrong this time again.

Trump was an unexpected result. It's why people on the right and left have been so angry since 2016 - it fricked up their whole game of money.

Politics is about money in the end. For people in power, there is more money to be had with globalism than nationalism.

Stupid statement.

Of course he's an outsider, take your hate glasses off.
