What does Wikipedia have to do with the state?

I didn't know who Wolf was. I looked through her books and found a synopsis of "The End of America" which was written in 2007. In the book Wolf basically argues that the early 2000's was sort of a fascist takeover of the government with the "war on terror" ostensibly as the excuse they used for cracking down on freedoms. I don't totally disagree with her that the Neocons were involved in that. She lays out 10 things these people do when they take power:

1) Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy.
2) Create secret prisons where torture takes place.
3) Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.
4) Set up an internal surveillance system.
5) Infiltrate and harass citizens' groups.
6) Engage in arbitrary detention and release.
7) Target key individuals.
8) Control the press.
9) Cast criticism as espionage and dissent as treason.
10) Subvert the rule of law.

Sound familiar? This is exactly what the left has been doing for the past 5 years, at least.
