Claudia Apolinar

Daily Mail (UK)
quote:

DailyMail.com spoke to Claudia Apolinar’s 65-year-old father Adolfo who confirmed she was in a stable condition as he held a bedside vigil for her in hospital.

‘I’m here with her right now,’ he said in Spanish, adding that an LA Sheriff’s Department deputy was standing guard outside the hospital room

quote:

Despite taking multiple bullets – one to the face and several to her upper torso – Claudia, 31, managed to get her partner to safety, apply a tourniquet and radio for help.

quote:

‘By the grace of God they’re both going to pull through. They’re obviously pretty injured and it’s going to be life-altering but they’re in stable condition,’ he said.

I’m still furious that leftists called Christine Blasey Fraud a feminist hero.

This woman has true courage.

She was brave as hell.

You watch her response as she is trying to provide aid to her partner who was bleeding out while checking to make sure the gunman wasn’t coming back.

Well done officer Apolinar, you are a hero.

Learned last night she was a librarian before becoming a deputy. Is she a single mom?

The fact that she lost the bottom half of her jaw and took several bullets and she STILL had the presence of mind and strength to try and aid her partner while also calling in the incident and having to remain vigilant for the suspect is incredible. This woman is a REAL American hero.

ETA: Also should be noted that she left her quiet and peaceful job as a librarian and voluntarily chose to be a cop in one of the most dangerous places in the country. Amazing.

Both victims were Hispanic.

That shooter hasn’t gotten a lick of sleep since finding out both deputies survived.
Two targets living after being shot at point blank range is nothing short of miraculous.

Trump needs to bring her to the White House as soon as she is able. She is the embodiment of valor under fire and deserves the highest recognition

Wow, this deputy and what she did is simply awesome and inspiring.

I truly hope law enforcement extinguishes in a hail of gunfire the human waste that sought to execute these deputies.

Doing beats in Compton, taking a bullet to the face, administering aid looking like her throat got slit. Yeah, I have no problem admitting that this chick has bigger balls than me.

What would happen if Claudia had shot the attempted murderer in self defense? The Democrats in California would put HER on trial for murder, ruining her life in the process. But not before Burn Loot Murder destroyed our cities and businesses.

A good portion of the lower jaw was shattered (according to a previous article).
You can certainly tell by listening to her radio call for back-up.

Audio and video of female officer radio call, post shooting - YouTube
quote:

On the radio, according to footage reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, a shaky voice mutters: '998 Compton Pax.'

Recognizing the code for a deputy-involved shooting, a dispatcher asks: 'Just happened?'

'Compton Pax, deputies down,' the voice says, almost unintelligibly. 'Compton Pax 998.'

Authorities said that the deputies, who both graduated from the police academy 14 months ago, each sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
