My son Brian asked me this morning about Jimmy Kimmel

I was getting my son Brian (he’s 4) ready for school today. He was somewhat reserved this morning and wearing his favorite Angel Reese jersey. At some point during his breakfast, he looked up and asked me, “NIH, why is Trump silencing journalists like Jimmy Kimmel? What is stopping him from coming for us next?”
I put my oat milk lavender latte down and contemplated my response. But I couldn’t think of anything. We are in dark times and I can’t help but feel vulnerable.

I’m with you. My wife’s boyfriend was nearly inconsolable before his shift at Best Buy this morning. A few rounds of Mario Kart on the Switch 2 didn’t seem to help.
