My How The Mighty Have Fallen: Howard Stern

When you become the very thing you once despised...
Just a week ago I was struck by the sudden realization that it had been years since I had heard about anything Stern-related. This guy went from being a major fixture across the country for years to almost silence (apart from his appearance on America's Got Talent, which is the type of show the old Howard would have mocked or at least not gone on). Apparently he's now suffering Afluenza Liberali.

Another theory, discussed by Lange and Martling on a recent podcast, probably contains at least a degree of truth: did Stern, during all those years when he was making fun of the crème-de-la-crème of the left-wing showbiz establishment, actually want to be one of them—and finally got so rich and famous that he knew he’d be welcomed into their ranks, if only he overhauled his act?

This comes off like a jealous x-gf. He was extremely successful. Im sorry that you are mad about it. Its going to be okay.

Satellite radio pretty much killed his shtick. When you have no boundaries to push, the shock jock routine isn't as appealing.

Howard was always a self-important, narcissistic a-hole.

I quit caring about that a-hole Howard Stern when he referred to that precious Brandi Love as a horse face with a nice arse.
He was dead to me afterwards.

Why does he have to keep the show the same? Does he not have a right to reinvent himself. I dont even watch his show i just think this is weird to be mad over. He obviously doesnt need the money. He is extremely wealthy estimated at 650 million! Thats like trying to tear into Leno for doing a less popular show on cars or saying an x-nfl player is a failure for retiring and being paid a lot less to do commentary. Its a weak and incompetent argument.

He made his money and fame being the provocateur and shitting on the Hollywood elites and stupid reality shows and shitty pop star singers.
The fact that he would be a judge on a TV show with those other fake people now proves his shtick was always of course just that...playing the bad boy outsider to get invited into all the Reindeer games.
Same story with Letterman...he went mainstream as quick as he could...Late Night and the Late Show had no resemblance whatsoever.

He's always been one of them. He's always been Jewish.

Wow, you're an anti semitic piece of shite.

Stern recently did an interview on Jon Stewart, and it was quite good.
He has just mellowed with marriage and age. It happens.

I think it's his new wife. She made him tone it down and he obliged.
Count me among the number of former fans who is disappointed that he sold out and became a mainstream liberal who parrots mindless MSM talking points

I have been a long time listener of the king of media and he is no idiot and realizes his show must continue to get the guests from the entertainment world which we all know are primarily Libtards. His interviews are the best in the business and he cant afford to lose the soy libs.

Actors, actresses, television/radio personalities and rockstars all desire the fame, fortune and peer acceptance that comes with the territory. Don't be fooled by them pretending otherwise. If Howard seems to have abandoned those fans who supported him all these years, that's par for the course for those who would step on anyone to reach the top.

Howard Stern jumped started his career by stealing Chicago's Steve Dahl's act. Where he would have imaginary characters with different voices and talk to them flipping back and forth from himself to the character. When he was confronted with the sudden change in his program and how it was similar to Dahl's, he completely denied it.
He is a plagiaristic a-hole.
