Norman has been a liberal island for over 2 decades, maybe much more. The last time I was there was for my son's graduation over 2 decades ago.

I hate going to Norman. I haven't been to Norman/OKC in 6 years or so and even though Im in Oklahoma, i have no reason to ever go back. I can't say one redeeming quality about Norman except for Dale K. Graham. Hes a great guy and probably the best Veteran Service Officer in the whole country.

My time at Ft. Sill and Lawton, Oklahoma was nothing but misery.
Tulsa King series makes sense to me because of the weed dispensaries and Indian Casinos. Oklahoma sucks.

My buddy is as die hard of an OU guy as you can imagine and can’t stand what Norman has become. He went to show his kids the campus two years ago and there was a massive BLM protest and the smell of weed everywhere

I think this is largely attributable to the pole-smoking “conservative democrat” David Boren. Granted, he helped bring back OU football, and he did oversee much expansion and improvement to the Norman campus, but the left wing slide began under his presidency.

Strange. My daughter (24) and her fiancee (25) both graduated from OU 2 and 3 years ago, respectively. Both were Greek. Both are conservative, concealed carry MAGA Christians. All of their friends are the same. I guess it's just some people are seeking something to hold onto and others enter college already grounded.
