My company finally sent out the vax mandate email. I’m shocked.

Only required for those with positions that require them to travel internationally. All medical and religious exemptions will be taken with the utmost seriousness (rubber stamp) and we will abide by the laws of all states and countries that prohibit vax mandates. So pretty much if you don’t want it you don’t have to get it. I was pleasantly surprised.

This is why there is a constant fight from the left to place Marxist judges in places of power in our country. If enough of them are installed, then they will be able enforce all kinds of unconstitutional acts upon America. They will be able to ignore laws or selectively enforce what benefits the Marxist American agenda.

The intl travel part is interesting, in that you really can’t travel many places without weird quarantine requirements unless vaxed.
So my hope is that the requirement to travel also be rescinded, since I can’t control the policies of other countries

My Silicon Valley-based tech company has actually been reasonable about it as well all things considered. We have around 500 employees, so definitely big enough to be impacted by the “mandate”.
However, They are allowing folks to make their own decisions with very limited repercussions. Our offices are still not re-opened officially which is the dumbest part of it, but doesn’t impact me as I work remotely 100% of the time and did so pre-covid.
Anyway, the only stipulations we have in place are that you cannot attend conferences/in-person events/company-sponsored travel unless you are vaxxed. If you’re not vaxxed, no worries, they’ll just find someone else to attend that event who is. But truly no pressure or threats at all for those who don’t feel comfortable getting it.

While true, if you notice the mandates already had their desired effect.
Over 90% of us complied before states took the government to court and got the stays.
If you notice they didn't stay the federal contractors until the Original fully jabbed or fired date of Dec 8
SO I guess what Im trying to say is that Our State officials didn't do us any favors by actually filing suit when we could have all got to refuse the shots.

So you’re just sort of shunned and physically isolated from important gatherings of your coworkers if you don’t want to take an experimental drug? I’m sure that won’t have long term detrimental effects on your career in that company.

have to agree with S2, keep thinking the "optics" were considered off, firing people at the holidays... hope I'm wrong but i suspect after the new year it's on... mandates and a hard push on kids... they're all dancing together and the other countries are going wild

I’m working on a project for a government contractor. I was told I had to be vaccinated even though I’m doing all the work from my office and not coming into contact with anyone outside my company. I am vaccinated because my personal choice was to get it but this is pure insanity.
