Because I asked for specifics? What a strange conclusion. You made definitive legal conclusions. I asked for specifics that led you to those conclusions. And you respond with this? Sad.
I’ll start with something easy. Do you know the elements of the crime of obstruction?
Should I dumb it down further? Do you know what an element of a crime is?

Allow me to help. You are focused on the weasily first sentence. The only sentence that matters is the one that follows. If it wasn’t for those pesky “ facts and the applicable legal standards” that don’t support th charge, they would have got him! What bullshite.
He only had 2 plus years, 19 prosecutors, 40 FBI agents, gathered countless documents, interviewed God knows how many people, bankrupted a few trying to get them to roll over, but just could not find evidence to support a charge. At that point, a Prosecutor should reasonably be expected to do his job and decline to prosecute. Instead, he played politics and kicked the easy decision to Barr and Congress.

They knew they couldn't win an objective fight under any legal/prosecutorial standard, so they punted this to the political realm. They've turned it into the central plank of the Democrat platform going into the 2020 Presidential. AND . . . the only appropriate response from The President and his team is to treat this as the beginning of the campaign. This is a political battle now, nothing more. There are no legal arguments to be made or defended. Pure politics.

I'm listening, as we speak, to NPR's Day Six, a Canada-based news hour. Marcy Wheeler tore into Trump's actions based on the Mueller report. She was particularly indignant toward the Trump campaign's drive to recover Hillary's missing emails.
Ms Wheeler scored Trump's Impeach-O-Meter at 40, that means a 40% likelihood he'll be subject to impeachment before the end of his 1st term. Not imminent, but certainly something to look out for.
