I have 1000 cases of ramen chicken packs.

Oops I probably shouldn’t have said that online.

Get a fishing pole , all the fresh food you want. Change of diet wanted? Try hunting and gardening as well

Water purifier and MRE's at the camp are very wise. I fear a power grid attack is inevitable .

Heck, with Biden we could be on the cusp of anything not good happening.

I am interested in seasoned preppers/hunters advice on a water purifier.

Learn to cure meats.

Learn to grow veggies and fruit.

Learn to fish and crab.

Learn to hunt.

Learn to preserve.

Self reliance my man. Teach your kids. One day all this shite will come in handy.

It depends on how much water you’re trying to purify but a Sawyer Squeeze (full sized one) and extra accessories like a CNOC bag should be fine for a family over the short term. Don’t waste your time with the drinking pens.

Mypatriotsupply.com seems to have the best prices with regular sales if you don't want to cook, prep, and seal food on your own. Delivery times can be a little long, but it's easier than trying to do everything yourself. Plus, it has a 25 year storage period and variety which is difficult to achieve on your own.

Being able to grow things on your own is nice, but that is not always possible in emergencies. Having a safe supply is always good.

MREs seem to be more expensive with fewer calories and have shorter shelf life than other survival food options.

That's just so much Coast-To-Coast AM, Art Bell, George Snoory conspiracy theory fare.

Take off that tin hat, sir. There are no black helicopters and Giant Triangles in America's future.

MREs are also designed for a soldier burning thousands of calories a day, they are a poor choice nutrition wise for the average person doing normal activities.

I have Mountain House meals. I used them in the past and I like them. They last 30 years. Costco (Baton Rouge) was selling them in boxes as Adventure Meal Kits for around 66% off what you would pay anywhere else. I bought 3 of the last 4 they had. Not sure if they will be getting anymore. To use them all you do is boil water and pour it in the food pouch and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Then it's time to eat.

Good things to have around is crackers, peanut butter and jelly. Good nutrition and calories.
