Agreed. It's a shame that it's a Democrat that took this seriously first, but AI automation is going to happen no matter what. We need a reasonable, young conservative with a more sane approach to solving automation in the pool of candidates. It would be great if we had our own Yang in the mix after Trump's second/third term is over.

I don't want that, but it should be clear to everyone by now that lots of work that gets done now by people is either mostly meaningless or could be done more efficiently with fewer people. My hope for the future is that "busy work" makes way for creative work for most people.
A living wage may be part of that, like it or not. And you should like it.

This is ridiculous. AI automation is an Elon Musk pipe dream and it's never becoming a reality, at least not in our lifetimes. It's certainly nothing to freak out and go socialist over.

Yang was by far the most intelligent of all the candidates this year. His ideas were really radical, but I think if he had won the primary he could have given Trump a real challenge.
