Germans to the thread, from another thread:

quote:

The Chicago Police Department has unveiled a new policy prohibiting its officers from chasing people on foot simply because they run away, or because they have committed minor offenses.

The policy, which was introduced Tuesday, also encourages cops to “consider alternatives” to pursuing someone who “is visibly armed with a firearm.”

Now, the powers that be have decided "fk you" if you are a law-abiding, hard working citizen once again.

So what if you are being economically destroyed by thieves stealing your catalytic converter or making your neighborhood unfit to raise a family.

I'm not recruiting, rather asking a question: If the gatekeepers of the Law refuse to do their job, should we be upset if citizens decide they are going to fix the problem themselves?

Except when activist judges (democrats) who dont follow the law, and are not held accountable would justify the actions. They are not held accountable by (Democrat) AG's and DOJ pieces of shite.

Eventually people get tired of something and there is push back. Sort of like the (democrats) constant pushing of over the top crap hoping to get a violent reaction.

If that reaction ever comes it will probably be far worse than they imagined. Might even be another Ft. Sumter.

Yep, recognizing Tyranny and the absence of real justice, they spit on their hands, hoisted the flag, slit throats and THEN enshrined due process.

This was a time when honorable men were ready to govern.

Back to your old tricks. A poster makes an observation worth discussing, namely

quote:

When criminals have more rights than victims is there really due process any longer?

Clearly, this is an issue about the rights of victims, which is a huge matter in public policy that is constantly researched on the satisfaction of government services. Such as DOJ Study

You change it to
quote:

Please give an example in which the Constitutional rights of a victim
(emphasis mine) so that if you lure anyone in, you will just argue semantics of "That's not a constitutional right" . Indeed if someone is a victim, they have already been deprived of a right guranteed by statute, and prohibited from occurence by the Government (e.g. deprivation of property, possibly liberty infringement). The fact its not the government really doesn't seem to be important to the poster's original point.

Nevertheless, if you want to be highly technical, the government does:

(1) Hold people as material witnesses in detention (and have qualified immunity against suit in many cases)

(2) Seize property as evidence

and those rights are Constitutional rights

The feral animals from BLM and Antifa who rioted, burned, and looted in the name of "racial justice" would have been appropriately dealt with. I can almost guarantee that.

Then the Politicians who have been selling out the average Joe start getting nervous.

Then they start questioning whether or not Joe is going to start focusing their attitude adjustments on them.

Then they start changing their behaviors.

Again, the "system" depends on honorable people being at the helm.

At no time in American History has the Judicial System been so corrupt.

One of the things they drill into your head in Concealed Carry classes: if someone breaks into your home in the middle of the night, no matter how clear-cut the evidence is that you were acting in self-defense, you WILL be arrested and booked into custody.

The lawyers have gamed the system. It’s more about winning and losing now, rather than actual justice.

Funny you mention that.

Should have never gone to trial.

Legal arguments aside (as a pure hypothetical of course considering most of us have lost our guns in boating accidents), do most of you have a moral revulsion to vigilantism?

I have moral revulsion when vigilantism results in a miscarriage of justice. Even then, I think the fact that justice is seldom found in the justice system in this country, is at least partly to blame. I think if we continue on the path we are on, we will see more and more vigilantism. It’s already prevalent in urban areas.

Maybe when they see their children affected, it will be made apparently clear. I’m not sure many of us can wait and watch that long. I won’t.

Absolutely not. I wish it happened more often because arresting them doesn’t do any good because a lot of the DA’s won’t even prosecute them
