MTN-MSU poll: Tester holds narrow lead in U.S. Senate race
THIS IS A PRE-KAVANAUGH POLL
In the state’s high-profile U.S. Senate race, Democratic incumbent Jon Tester holds a narrow lead over Republican challenger Matt Rosendale, 46 percent to 43 percent, according to a Montana Television Network-Montana State University poll.
The mail-ballot poll of more than 2,000 registered voters, conducted during a three-week period in late September and early October, has an error margin of plus-or-minus 2 percent.
Given that error margin and the poll results, the race between Tester and Rosendale is statistically a toss-up going into these final weeks of the campaign.
Two-point-six percent of respondents to the MTN-MSU poll said they planned to vote for Libertarian Rick Breckenridge, who’s on the ballot; 6.5 percent said they are undecided; and 1.6 percent named someone else they planned to support.
The Tester-Rosendale contest is one of the most closely-watched U.S. Senate races in the country, as Republicans have targeted Tester as a potentially vulnerable Democrat in a state that President Trump won by 20 percentage points in 2016.

I have no idea how a state as conservative as Montana would every elect, much less reelect a Schumer stooge like Tester.
Get with the program guys.
Every seat is valuable. YOu don't want 1-2 Jeff Flakes to screw things up. You want a comfortable advantage, hell, you could eye 60 votes in 2020 if you do well in 2018.

They're big out here on ranchers from Montana. Who's a rancher and who's not...It's almost like being a rancher outweighs everything else. They hammer politicians if they're from out of state. But, Gianforte was able to win house 2 yrs ago and Rosendale may beat the "Maryland Matt" label this election. We'll see.

How is a Democrat even in the running in that state?

Just dropped some cash for Desantis, Scott, Rosendale, and Braun.

I don’t understand how any of these democrats senators in red states even got elected the first time . With Trump winning some of these states by so much it’s crazy to think the democrats incumbents even have a chance .

Big Sky states tend to vote for Dem senators and Republican presidents.
MT, ND, and SD have had an inordinate number of Dem senators, with accusations of vote buying on the reservations playing a part in a number of SD elections.
Then again, the Dems fricked themselves there because Thune losing a stolen election meant he ran two years later and knocked off Minority Leader Tom Daschle.

Please explain to me how Lisa Murkowski keeps getting reelected in Alaska. Fcking Alaska????? WTF are they thinking picking that c*nt who continuously is voting with Dems?
Party should expel her, for all the practical reasons. You ain't a Republican.
And don't even get me started on Arizona.Thank god one is gone for good, and another one is running away with tail between his legs. Every time I see Flake on TV, I just get this urge to slap some courage on his panicky face. Sorry excuse of a man.

Alaska isn’t a red state like Texas is a red state.

Nope. I figured any state that elects Sarah Palin as governor is borderline teaparty. Trump won it EASILY. 51/36.
Texas was 52/43, so was more competitive thanks to the brown vote.
I mean, remote, low population, less than rural, but Ds live in that state???? Doesn't compute for me.

Bozeman, Missoula and such have a large University prog population + fed gov employees (USFS), and unfortunately a lot of CA and Seattle transplants. Even the local libs aren't crazy about that.
