Repub senators have to be MIC friendly in AL. The entire north AL economy lives on Federal $$$ pouring into Redstone Arsenal and MSFC for the MIC.
It is a bullshite way to operate, but it is the truth.

That said, Brooks has a record of voting very conservatively 95%+ of the time. Nobody is perfect.
Katie Britt will just be the female version of Richard "porkbarrel" Shelby.
I'll take Brooks any day over her or Durant (who BTW was funded by a bunch of anti-Trumpers to split the vote and outspend Brooks with a shitload of negative attack ads).
Why do you think he waited to the last second to bow out when he knew he never really had a chance? Another MIC whore doing Turtle's bidding! Never forget Turtle's meddling in the SE to fill Sessions vacant seat is what gave us Doug Jones sorry arse for 2 years.

She’s cute

And there is the dilemma. Trump can only choose between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. We blame him- while doing nothing about it. I would love to see one of you haters do any better. It’s easy to complain from the cheap seats.

Pretty sure that Britt is on record wanting to send actual troops to Ukraine

Trump is a pragmatist. He’s hard wired to get shite done. That requires the majority in the Senate. There’s no point on any of this if the Senate is controlled by Democrats. Trump picks the candidate most likely to win the seat in the Senate.

In other races, Trump can pick the MAGA candidate because the seats don’t cost as much political leverage if they happen to be lost.

A lot of people don’t seem to be able to wrap their heads around this concept very well.

Very well articulated.

And I am so tired of hearing about Trumps "bad" picks. 90% of DC voted for hils, when you have to make 100s of hires in that cesspool, and have to pick someone who actually has some experience in that dept, its very tough to find someone competent, and republican.

I would like to know, for those of you who are naive enough to think that its easy to endorse 100s of true Trump candidates for every seat of congress.......has your company endorsed blm, crt, or lgbtz23. DID YOU STAND UP FOR WHITE CHRISTIAN HETEROSEXUAL RIGHTS? If not, why not, are you some kind of never Trumper????????

I've never seen that quote before - but it exactly describes my approach to every election I've participated in for the past 62 years.

I think that is the way I'll phrase my philosophy from now on - it is better than my previous => "vote for the least worst" since it actually makes a statement about which side is "worst" and addresses to the 'electability' factor in the decision.

We had a saying at NASA during the early years = "don't let 'perfect' be the enemy of 'good enough.'"

If I could vote in AL, I'd vote for Mo - felt that way last time too.

sure he is right ...

Trump looked at the polls and wanted to be able to claim a victory.

Saw where a PAC joined in the Katie party that is run by a Bahamas Crypto CEo, after she got into the runoff and saw the numbers.

This is weird: last time Donald Trump talked about Katie Britt, he said she was unqualified for the Senate. Donald Trump is the only man in American politics who could get conned by Mitch McConnell twice in an Alabama Senate race.

100% Truth.

Katie Britt is a disaster waiting to happen. I would say Alabama will regret this but they are a lot of stupid people in this state.

You don't care that Trump supports terrible people to the Congress? These are the people that write laws and vote on how to steal and spend our money.

Not to thread jack, but what did you do at NASA? I bet you had the time of your life during that period. I’m jealous.
