Mississippi White population down to about 56%.

The official numbers may be a little higher but that's what folk telling me. White middle class leaving Mississippi in droves the last 15 years. That's why so many of the small towns in the State now have black mayors. Have seen projections by 2030 if not sooner Mississippi will be minority majority. Will be interesting to see the census numbers in a few months.

This is same for all places where black people moves into an area. White people then moves out to other white areas or in rural areas. Nothing new.

This would only be due to people leaving as the black population isn't growing and neither is the white population. The only demographic thats growing in America is the Hispanic population. Either way, the world population across the board is slowing in terms of growth rate.

Moved my white family to ms two years ago. Picked my county and school district due to demographics. People just want to be with their own anything else is pandering and disingenuous change my mind

I think Mississippi and Alabama will make comebacks. Why? Cost of living, weather, more jobs where you can work from home, and many people are about to leave these cities. Demographic shifts will be interesting in the coming decades.
