Lindsey is probably knee deep in Ukrainian corruption, too

Remember, he admitted yesterday that him and John McCain were looking at the dossier LONG BEFORE it was made public. Lindsey hid this from the public for over 3 years

He is not to be trusted

There wont be an impeachment trial in the senate . DEMs want Impeachment , Republicans have the goods with DEM frickery with FBI . Deals are being made behind close doors . Nothing will happen on anything .

I don’t read Facebook, and if you don’t understand the point of my post you can ask. I’ll come here and post what I want. Don’t read it, that’s up to you.

It will be swift if there is. There simply is no way Rs will convict. That is there will be insufficient defections from Rs to the Ds. Maybe the one-term senator from Utah and the gentle ladies from Alaska and Maine. That's about it.

Senate trial is not a courtroom.

The Senators control every rule by simple majority vote.

The reason there will be no witnesses is because 47 Democrats and 4 Republicans can block anything.

Lindsey is correct because he can count.

You are wrong because you didn't pay attention in Civics.

As stated, the senators are jurors. Juries don’t call witnesses. Defense lawyers do.

I understand where Lindsey is coming from. If there is a Senate Trial, then they can call Trump to testify under oath and we all know that magnificent orange bastard cant help but trip over his own tongue. He flies off the handle, cant keep to script and risks perjuring himself. Not worth the risk imo

Of course i would love a senate trial to go after the Dems, but its just not worth it imo.

No defendant in a trial has to testify. I assume you've served on a jury. In judges instruction this has been covered in trial I've ever been a juror in.

I have really been conflicted about this.

While I would love for the chance to lay all of this open while the country's eyes are on the trial, considering what Horowtiz said, and didn't say, yesterday, this may be to make sure nothing the GOP might do in the Senate could operate to screw up what Durham/Barr are working on.

This sets up the ability to get this dismissed and to lay bare the horribly abusive process in the House while doing so (which has been clear for everyone with a brain to see - now the progs can get a taste).

It's up to Trump to call witnesses, no?

I wonder if McConnell's talk of using the process to validate / acquit Trump is a trick to lure him into testifying.

I would bet the Senate trial doesn't last a week. Someone is going to motion to acquit and before you know it, the trial will be over.

If 38 R's go on record and state that the case was not made by the House and they are going to vote to not remove, then the trial is just a waste of time and money. For all we know, Trump may be pushing for this to happen, to get it out of the way.

I already posted this info.

The impeachment vote fix is already in.

11 or so democrats will vote no in the house and 5 will vote no in the Senate.

That way it can be seen as a bi-partisan rejection of impeachment and removal while guaranteeing that the Republicans wont call witness that will expose the dems and their fellow republicans who use foreign aid to line their and their families pockets.
