"Now with crime spiraling out of control, the Minneapolis Police has issued advice to residents in addition to the increased robberies and carjackings, that some robbery victims have been “maced, dragged, assaulted” or threatened with a gun, when facing a robbery or a carjacking.Be prepared to give up your cell phone and purse/wallet” and “do as they [the criminals] say.”

It almost sounds like the Police are working for blm

I mean that's not bad advice if the guy gets the drop on you. My credit cards aren't worth dying over.

Now if he's unaware then game on.

Or...they’re advising law-abiding residents to comply for their own safety, given that local politicians will no longer allow them to serve or protect.

Neo-Mogadishu.

Elect muslim radicals to office, expect a muslim radical environment to emerge.

When they start throwing gays off rooftops, the transformation will be complete. Will be hilarious watching the dim media try and justify it.

This is what I was always told to do and always done anyway. Been mugged three times, including twice with a girl with me. I'm like, "Sure buddy, have a wallet with no cash in it. Or with cash in it. Whatever." Not shooting someone or getting shot over the trouble of replacing a few cards.

I mean, if someone has a gun to your face or a group of 4-5 people are threatening you, you're in no position to really negotiate. Don't lose your life over property.

Interesting they give this advice for interacting with criminals but they can’t give similar advice for when interacting with police.

That's just the legal definition of robbery: theft by force or threat of force. All robbery victims are assaulted, by definition.

Police are just issuing scare statements. This is what they have always advised people being robbed to do. Give up your stuff, then call us afterward when you're safe.

Surrender, Or what?

If they aren’t responding, how big is your back yard?

Pretty sure they aren't talking to/about people being robbed in their own backyard.

Agree, but, in these UrbTopias you’ve just got to be willing to tote an arrest and dish out for a lawyer when and if you kill the perpetrator. Thankful I live in a rural area with a darn good DA.
