Set to become Prime Minister after gaining 114 votes in the first round. Next closest competitor was 43.

The first comment: "The country is falling apart."

That's how you know its good!

Boris is weak as frick

Horrible fricking choice for Brexit.

He voted lock step with May to keep delaying Brexit.

Every time I’ve seen video of him speaking I’ve been struck by how ignorant he seems. He just says stuff without regard for truth or reality.

That and he always looks like he's in the middle of a three day drunk.

Not Farage party in majority, so he’s not eligible.

It’s a catch 22 regarding Brexit. If they don’t follow through with it it will end up triggering a national election in which the current ruling party, based on the majority of MPs, would be voted out and replaced by the Brexit party and then we would see a strong likelihood of Farage being PM.

If they do get Brexit figured out, there is a chance by the time the next general election comes about the Brexit party will be no more because it has served its purpose and then maybe the current party will get enough votes to stay in power.

So regardless of what happens it is now in the best interest of the current ruling party to get Brexit done. They might not like it, but the wins in the EU election put the writing on the wall regarding what will happen if they drag their feet any longer.

100% agree. Since Farage can't win this, I'd have loved to have seen Rees-Mogg become PM.

Johnson is worthless. Cuck and a clown.

Farage represents Britain in the European Parliament, and does not hold a seat in the UK Parliament. Therefore, he cannot be Prime Minister.

I heard an interview with Farage where he said that if Boris didn't get it done, then he'd (Farage) would step in and sweep the whole UK Parliament.

Asked if that was a "shot across the bow"...Farage enthusiastically responded in the affirmative.

Showdown coming for big change; no averting that. Over there or here.

it would be nice if Farage could get the job. Perhaps there are arrangements behind the scenes of him running in a by-election for a "safe" seat in Parliament....

I listened to the Commentators' analysis after the Farage interview, and one of the English guys pointed out the path. It wasn't an empty threat; Farage is looking over Boris' shoulder. Either Boris gets it done or he's done.

Boris is better than Theresa May but not by much.

Jacob Rees-Mogg is who they are needing.
