The article notes the following:
1. Law enforcement hasn't been contacted in this matter.
2. A similar incident supposedly took place at a Utah site and "is unresolved".
I wonder if Meta/Zucky isn't really looking for an out on a contract which is costing them more than planned.

Absolutely, but they should take it a step further. Donate the land to people of color and give them the remaining funds that were allocated for the construction. It’s the only reasonable thing to do.

it's actually a little disturbing how common it is now to hear whether or not law enforcement has been contacted, if there is an investigation pending, etc in association with every little tiny (real or perceived) act of racism. people have slowly and subtly started associating the two, as if it has actually become illegal to say something racist (which was probably the plan all along).
