Indicating Natural Occurring Anti-Bodies Are Just As Effective In Combatting The Virus:

BLOOMBERG: Merck Shuts Down Covid Vaccine Program After Lackluster Data.

Merck & Co. is discontinuing development of its two experimental Covid-19 vaccines after early trial data showed they failed to generate immune responses comparable to a natural infection or existing vaccines....

So they are late to market and not as good as their competitors in Pfizer and moderna.

Other than the fact that the government induced panic surrounding the COVID-1984 virus has little semblance to any occurrence in a “free” market, I suppose that would be one way to characterize this move.

Demand has been soft for the vaccine. Not the liberal social justice warrior internet demand but the actual butts showing up to have an nursing student inject them with a vaccine that hasn't been tested to industry standards used in the past.

Government has also over saturated the market with COVID-1984 Fear Porn.

Yeah, you tend to be skeptical of something when you are not permitted to question it.

I had an interesting conversation on the phone earlier. My mother got the 1st vaccine about a week ago. Since she has had a high fever up to 102, fatigue, severe body aches, nausea, and O2 levels were below 90 at one point.

She had 4 covid tests done and all were negative. 2 were at the doctor's request to get retested.

She's getting better gradually but it bit her hard having had autoimmunity shots days before.

She has also been on Hydroxycholriquine for over a decade. So go figure.

I figure they gave her the disease she wanted protection from. And probably a worse case of it.

Tney are probably playing the long game with Biden. If Insulin and Epinephrine prices doubled overnight, they probably think they can get more money too.

Thanks Biden. The party of Big Pharma

Why are you so sure the their competitors have effective vaccines? Is it because they told you they were effective?

So the encapsulated RNA that encodes for the spike protein somehow gained the RNA necessary to replicate in cells, entered the cells and thus replicated causing a Covid infection?

Or it could be an immune response to the spike proteins as intended?

And one final option, (as it is 1 week post vaccination dose), she got Covid BEFORE getting a strong immune response from the shot (potentially sometime around getting the shot or shortly thereafter).

Defense Production Act should be used to have Merck produce one of the approved vaccines.

I'm no doctor, but I'd say that decision wasn't really thought out very well.

The fact that all of these are plausible. In short, it concerns me that we really don’t have any answers as to which one is the true driver.
At this point, we are told that it is the third option that you listed and that anyone that questions the omnipotence of big pharma is crazy.

Take rate in 75+ is about 70%, when you factor in expressed desire to take it...

They expect the take rate to be 40% or less in pretty much everyone else, which happens to be about the same for flu vaccines...

I am betting it is below 40%...

Possibly but a word of caution: beware any medicine approved absent the typical rigorous trials
