Memphis cops

I finally watched a couple of the videos of the Nichols beating. The portion where they were standing around talking waiting for and during the EMT's work, those cops sounded like hood thugs themselves.
They did not sound professional but sounded like hood rats talking about the fight they had on Friday night.
The quality of people in LE will deteriorate further and more and more this stuff will happen and perpetually deteriorate the LE community.

You’re correct. This will become a greater problem in large cities instead of a decreasing problem. When media, politicians, and celebrities paint cops just trying to do their job as evil or systemically racist it’s tough to find good people to sign up. Cities are forced to hire whoever they can get instead of being selective. Pay matters as well, but I think the pay could increase 25-30% and they’d still struggle to find recruits.

compare and contrast the memphis cops with the minneapolis cops. the minneapolis cops look like choirboys compared to the memphis ones.

The vast majority of our officers have Bachelors Degrees with probably 8-10 Master's Degrees floating around (small department) and we start at $74K, topping out at 6-figures in 5 years and we STILL have trouble getting people to show up for the test.

He didn't run until after they ripped him out of the vehicle and tasered him. They didn't pull him over and ask for license, insurance, etc. they just went from 0-100 right off the bat
